The Black Watch, officially designated the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment of Foot, is one of the most celebrated Scottish Highland regiments in the British Army! Its history traces back to 1725, when it was originally raised as a militia force for the House of Hanover in the Scottish Highlands, tasked with maintaining law and order and suppressing Jacobite uprisings. The name “Black Watch” derives from the dark tartan uniform worn by its soldiers — distinct from the red coats of the regular British Army — and their duty to “watch” over the Highlands. In 1740, it was formally reorganized as a regular infantry regiment.

The headsculpt has been comprehensively upgraded to an entirely new level of craftsmanship — the facial contours are strikingly lifelike, with slightly parted lips bearing a faint, enigmatic smile, complemented by a full beard that captures Angus’s weathered authority in extraordinary detail.
In terms of attire, the Black Watch Angus wears the regiment’s iconic doublet tunic emblazoned with royal insignia, paired with the Black Watch kilt in its signature deep blue, black, and green tones, and the unmistakable feather bonnet — the regiment’s most recognizable symbol — atop his head. His feet are clad in red-and-white diced hose and brogues! Every element of this uniform, from its color palette to its finest details, has been meticulously weathered by time; the bold interplay of red and green, black and white lends this royal regiment a dignified yet spirited presence, like a British legend stepped straight from an oil painting.
For weaponry, Angus comes equipped with a musket — the legendary rifle that served the British Army through the Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic era .Additionally, a bayonet and scabbard are included for easy carry.
