Monkey Depot didn’t start as a “business plan.” It started because the 1:6 hobby used to be a pain in the ass. Back in 1998, when realistic military figures were blowing up again due to Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers, you couldn’t just get the five pouches or the one head sculpt you needed. You bought entire sets, hoarded extras, and hoped someone on a forum wanted to trade. It was dumb.

So we started breaking down full sets and selling the parts individually. Dealers told us we were nuts. Then they all copied it. Some of them disappeared. We didn’t.

For nearly three decades, Monkey Depot has been the spot for collectors who actually build, bash, and know what they’re looking at. We’ve stayed in the game by doing things the way we think they should be done: clear photos, honest descriptions, fast shipping, and zero drama. If it’s in stock, it’s in stock. If we can fix a problem, we do. Simple.

As the 1:6 world grew, our shelves grew with it. These days that means figures, parts, kits, die-cast, and all the other gear that ties into the hobby. The core idea hasn’t changed since day one: make it easy for enthusiasts to get the components they need without chasing them all over the internet. Same mission, bigger toolbox.
